Getting to the Mentawai Islands:

- Flight: Kick off your trip by flying into Minangkabau International Airport (PDG) in Padang, Sumatra.

- Transfer: Once you land, a friendly Balcony rep will be there to meet you at the airport and get you settled into your hotel in Padang. (We’ve got some great hotel recommendations if you need them!)

- Hotel Stay: Since the ferry schedule doesn’t line up with flights, you’ll need to spend two nights in Padang—one when you arrive and another before you head home.

- Ferry: The next day, our Balcony rep will take you to catch the ferry to Siberut Island in the Mentawai Islands. The ride usually takes about 3.5 to 5 hours, depending on the day and sea conditions.

- Speedboat: Once you reach Siberut, we’ll pick you up in one of our private speedboats and zip you straight to Balcony
